Reconstructed in meticulous detail from plans, reference photos and aerial photographs, each cinema in the Odeon Collection has been carefully considered and designed to create the best possible miniature representation – perfect for display in the home or office.
Built almost exactly to the same design as the Sutton Coldfield Odeon which had opened a few months previous, both buildings boasted a heavily streamlined style, with facades dominated by large slab towers anchored by a curved and canopied corner entrance and attached to a rounded projecting wing that housed the stairway leading to the circle.
The auditorium was tripled in 1972, with a fourth screen added around 1989, and a fifth in the early 2000s.
The cinema was gived Grade II listed status in 1988, and as of 2026, is still in operation under the Odeon brand.
