Frequently Asked Questions

How do I clean/dust my model?

I’d recommend using a dry, lint free microfiber cloth when dusting your model. A can of compressed air will also work wonders if dust accumulates in the nooks and crannies of more detailed areas.
Please DO NOT use a damp cloth as the water could penetrate the plaster and cause it to stain and weaken.

Can I paint them?

Yes, BUT if you want to paint your model, please specify this in the ‘Order Notes‘ field when ordering.
This is because I apply a few layers of clear lacquer to finished pieces to give them some additional protection, but this will make it more difficult for the paint to adhere to the surface.
If I know you’d like to paint it, I can skip this end step (although I’d generally advise applying a coat of protective lacquer yourself over your finished paint job)

I’ve been informed that enamel-based paints work very well on the untreated models.

Do you take commissions?

If you have a building you’d like recreating, feel free to get in touch.
Due to limitations on time (and the ever-expanding number of buildings in my ‘To Do’ list), I’m pretty selective as to what I’ll take on, but if our interests happen to align, then I’d be happy to work with you!
